Yo-yo makers While not the newest gadget on the market, Clover Yo-yo makers are certainly one of the most fun things around. By simply slipping a piece of fabric in the snap-together template and following the stitching guide, you have a perfect yo-yo in a couple of minutes.
Yo-yo makers If you haven’t tried this gadget yet, I suggest you start with a circle shape and graduate to the heart and flower. After seeing the circle maker demonstrated at a quilt show, I had to try it at home. My husband gave it a whirl and soon he was popping out yo-yos as quickly as I was. My daughter came home from college for the holidays and got addicted too. Our goal is to make a yo-yo garland for next year’s Christmas tree so we all pitch in when we’re just sitting watching TV. I’ve seen a resurgence of yo-yo projects such as dolls, table runners, Christmas tree ornaments, and wall hangings. Have the new yo-yo makers inspired you to create a new heirloom? If so, we’d love to hear about it. |
