Bad Girls Guild

We sell family mementos at our yard sale so we can make more room in our stash closet
Sometimes our stash closet turns into a whole stash room
Our family vacation destinations are chosen by the region with the best quilt shops
We take an extra empty suitcase on vacation to fill with quilt shop finds
We gasp when someone asks us when we’re going to clear out all that “stuff!”
Our stash is the first item mentioned in our Will
We own so many quilt books and magazines that we could open our own library
Instead of dusting our furniture, we throw a quilted top on it when company’s coming
We never leave the house without little bits of thread stuck to our clothing
We spend the whole day reorganizing our sewing studios but never get rid of anything
Our children know what shop hops and fat quarters are
While in public restrooms, we study floor tile patterns and think of what a pretty quilt they’d make
When we can’t sleep, we visit our stash and stroke the fabric…dreaming of our next project
We name our sewing machines…and remember them more easily than our children’s names
We think our husband’s shirt would add a little zing to our current project…and hope he doesn’t notice it’s missing from the closet

Fabric sales rank up there with national holidays on our “things to celebrate” list
Fellow guild members become the sisters we always wanted…but didn’t get
We’ve long since graduated from buying fabric pieces to purchasing whole bolts
We convince our families that crock pot cooking is gourmet food
In a lightning storm, our sewing machines get unplugged first

So quilting might be your passion…or a disease!  But all of us would agree it’s fun and exiting and it keeps us out of REAL trouble.  So be bad to the bone with us… the Bad Girls Guild is the place to be!  Of course, Bad Boys are welcome too.
