There is no better way to plan your road trip quilt shop visits that to use WRBQ’s Showtime Quilter’s Guide and Directory.  Available in a national version and five regional versions, it is chock full of the information you need while traveling.

Bad Girls Mona and Lauren used the national book on a summer trip to New York City and Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  Coupled with the GPS in our rental car, getting to quilt shops was a breeze!
After hearing about City Quilter for many years, we were pleased to be able to visit in person.  It definitely lived up to our expectations…lots of bright exciting patterns and fabrics with big city flair.  We were especially enamored with their New York themed fabrics and patterns. 

A couple of days later, we arrived in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  This is one of our favorite places to visit as the people are so friendly and the countryside is so beautiful.  With no real agenda, we meandered around for a couple of days and visited many of the area quilt shops and museums.  Some of the most charming shops are found in people’s homes.

We definitely encourage you to use a WRBQ directory on your travels.  The national version is a great general guide and is updated annually. The regional versions include information on quilt shows and exhibits and are updated every six months, ensuring you won’t miss a moment of quilting fun!
