General Chat -- Stuff

Oh my gosh......snow, snow, snow!! I think we have gotten two foot of snow in the last three days. Just about 40 miles west of us, they have a total of 5 foot of snow.... and it is still coming down They say we are going to get another foot tonight. Well, it does make everything look so pretty and I just love looking out my sewing room window and seeing the large snow flakes gently floating down. All of the pine trees are covered and the landscape is rounded with sparkling snow.

I just got back in from feeding the horses and loved tromping about in the dusty snow. The dogs thought it was such great fun tunneling back and forth, chasing each other. However, my cats seem to think it is all a big bother and refuse to get off the deck.

I am glad that I don't have any place urgent to travel to, as I really don't like to travel in such conditions. Sure does make it nice for sewing though

Here in good old Washington its rain and wind, I swear the other night I was going to wake up with are 5th wheel in a different spot,it did knock over Don's TV Dish and part of it got broke, but thank goodness we found a replacement part, Because Super Bowl Sunday is just around the corner poor guy was having fits wondering if he could get it fixed in time.

One thing about the weather you sure don't want to go outside so Im getting alot done with quilting, right now working on a Busy Kitty Applique for my Brother and SIL for there new home , than I have to finish up on some binding on another quilt

I would rather be where you are! I'm in Dallas, Texas and it's utterly boring here. The wind is blowing like crazy. You're environment sounds like a fairy tale. I'm so jealous!

Did anyone watch the Super Bowl game today? I thought it was a really good game. Seems the two teams, NY Giants and the NE Patriots were pretty well matched. Some tough plays but all in all it was a good game. My hubby was for the Giants and I was for the Patriots (just to be different from him )

I was able to get some hand work done while watching the game. Some of the best parts of the Super Bowl, are the commercials. I had to laugh at several of them...pretty goofy Made for a nice afternoon.

I did alot of sewing got my applique quilt done but did watch the game from the kitchen table, I didn't care who won I liked both teams, but I have to say it was a good superbowl, usually there never that close score wise, Manning brother sure was excited for him.
I love the horse commerical that was my favorite and the car racing was pretty good

We watched the Super Bowl...I enjoyed it. It was a nice close game...I hate those blow outs.

I usually do hand work of some kind when I am watching TV...but we we at my folks and so I didn't take anything with me.

I do like to do hand work when the TV is on...I can actually get quite a bit done while watching Law and Order or a ball game....

I just started the book..The Quilter's Homecoming...by Jennifer Chiaverinni....I am liking it as much as the others....I now have my mother started on them...she just ordered The Runaway Quilt for her reading group.

We have had some snow and a little ice here...but not as much as other places...Here it usually just snows sideways and we don't get a lot of accumulation.

I have started cutting out another Eureka quilt. This one will be in green, Cream and Rust colors. My husband didn't like the purple in my last one.

I love purple too. Thats why I used it in my quilt. The pattern should be easy to find. Jackie Robinson made it. I think if you go on her web site you might be able to find it. www.animas.com You could e-mail her about it too. She is a great lady.
