Welcome from Bad Girl Mona

Welcome to the Bad Girls Forum...sponsored by Global Quilt Shop. We've been working on this project for quite awhile and we're very excited to have you join us! Be sure to peruse the articles...and learn what Bad Girls are really about. We're sure you'll want to join in all the fun. Tell us about yourself!

My name is Mona and I live in central Florida. I am a member of a wonderful quilt guild...Ladies of the Lakes. My hobbies include quilting (of course!) and traveling...and I love to combine the two. I am fortunate to have family nearby and we do a lot of things together. My husband and I own several businesses together and we are owned by two Siamese cats. We often puppy-sit my mother's miniature Dachsund puppy. My daughter is getting married this spring so we are preparing for a large family wedding.

I can't wait to meet each and every one of you! Welcome to the Bad Girls Guild!

Hi, I'm Suzanne and live in the Pacific NW. I have been quilting for about 10 years. Piecing is what I really like to do and then I send my quilts out to a long arm quilter. I just finished a pattern called " loose change". Once a week I meet with a group of ladies to quilt but mostly we talk and do hand work ---- and of course have coffee and an afternoon snack.

Hello -

I am Trishia from Northern Alabama. I have been making quilts for about five years. I make them for my friends and family and have made nothing that would come close to hanging in any kind of quilt show. I just make simple pieced quilts and if I am happy with it and you cannot see any flaws by galloping by on a horse, then the quilt is considered fine in my book. I am so delighted when I accidently get a seam to match. I have not found a method of applique that I enjoy yet although I seem to like quilts with a bit of applique, I am just not good at it. I hope to learn more about quilting from this site and hopefully find friends to talk about quilt making with.

Hi,
My name is PJ and I live in the Pacific NW, Wa. state to be exact.
I have been quilting for years and am mostly self taugh.
I don't belong to a quild, yet, but do belong to two groups. One is the Klickatat Valley Quilters and the other is the Peacemakers. Both do charity quilts and have the nicest ladies who belong.

I have been married for 35+ years and have a blended family of 5 with 7 grands and 1 great with one on the way.

I mostly do traditional patterns and enjoy using bright and bold colors.

Two tortise shell calico cats, one Lhasa Apso and an Aussy Shepard and one grandson we helping finish High School.

I have been a (fabric) Bad GIrl for years and am glad to find this group to belong to.

My motto is "Quilt before housework, inspiration sometimes fades but dust is always there."

Hello all,

I am Mamu and I live in Montana. Currently we have several feet of snow and recently had another 'light dusting' of an additional 4 inches. All the trees are covered and the country side looks like a picture postcard

I have been quilting since about 1976. I learned somethings from my grandmother and mother, but mostly self taught. I have shown quilts in several different quilt shows and have sold many (sometimes with regret ) quilts. I also teach quilting, do some longarm machine quilting (I don't have my own machine, have to rent one), and belong to a sew group that meets twice a month for some sewing, gossiping, laughing, comparing, snacking and general fun

I really enjoy all types of quilts, traditional to art, minnature to huge, hand quilted to machine quilted, peiced to applique.....they all have so much to give to the quilting world.

I currently have many projects in the making and many more waiting to be quilted!

I am very excited to meet quilters from all over the world and am hoping this forum will do just that.

Good Afternoon, my name is Sassy and I live in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. I started quilting about a year and half ago. I am retired and having treatments for Ovarian Cancer for the 6th time in 11 years. I don't let this keep me down for too long. Belonging to two quilting guilds and one quilting bee, I am quite busy and enjoy learning. Just last week, I learned how to hand quilt and still trying to get my stitches smaller. They are consistant but the length is too long for my liking. I'm sure it will take time but I am having trouble finding the right size needle. Size 10 quilting needles are too small for my fat fingers. Any suggestions?
