I am glad to hear that I can finish the edges however it works...I like the satin stitch...but I thought the blanket stitch would really be cute on this lilttle guy.
I love all of the designs...I think they are darling and one can use any type of print and it will turn out nicely.

Mouse,
Which design did you choose...? Or will you be able to join our swap?

Hi Jessica,

I like the chubby and chunky chickens but the cost of postage to and from Australia could prove to be expensive....how does everyone else feel???

I would love to have an Australian block in the chicken quilt. I was very excited to have a Canadian block in the last swap, as well as blocks from all around the country. That is half the fun, knowing the blocks come from everywhere in the states as well as other countries.

But I do understand about postage....however....I will telll you that I have a quilting buddy from New Zealand and we have mailed things back and forth...postage for light weight items were not very costly....however...you may want to check on the prices of twnety blocks before you commit.

Thank you Bad Girls for twisting Mouse's arm...she just joined our swap so yippee...Australia is represented!

Yes Jessica, a blanket (applique) stitch is fine. It's actually my preferred method over the satin stitch. I think the main point is that it's stitched down somehow.

Betweens, I'm sure a Canadian dollar will do! I just wanted to make sure we make a donation to Fat Cat Patterns for so graciously allowing us to use her fabulous designs.

I hope all is going well in the chicken block world! For you Americans, you have a long Independence Day weekend coming up...more time for quilting!
