A New Swap? by Spectrumom 2 Years, 4 Months ago I would love to participate in another swap, since I joined too late to get in on the last. Is anyone else up to one? I was thinking a Christmassy one would be a good one, with coherent colorings too. Are there other ideas, or is someone else already starting one up?

Re:A New Swap? by Mamu 2 Years, 4 Months ago A Christmas type swap sounds lovely. What about table runners or tree skirts, pot holders, maybe stockings?
However, with summer coming on Keep me in mind though......never pass up a challenge

Re:A New Swap? by Spectrumom 2 Years, 3 Months ago I'm afraid I'm not into placemats at all. We are pretty limited in my house as to anything for decoration like tablecloths, placemats or doilies. I like the idea of stockings, but wonder how we would do a swap with things this small. Would we make a dozen of one kind and then swap them? I don't know what I'd do with a dozen unmatched christmas placemats or stockings! I only have 3 kids. ROFLMBO

Re:A New Swap? by Spectrumom 2 Years, 3 Months ago I guess a table runner might work, but I only have an island lol. That would look interesting, especially as my sink is in the middle of it.
What about a tree skirt? Or a wall hanging? That would be a fun thing to add embellishments like buttons or wooden ornaments, etc. And if we had a theme like snowmen, that would allow different colors and styles but keeping a theme. Ornaments might also be good. Now there is something I can imagine making a dozen of and getting a dozen of. It would be fun to have a quilt tree! And they'd be quick and susceptible to embellishing, which for some reason I am getting a hankering for, although I have never done it. I saw a cute idea for kids using hexagons, I wonder if I could find it in my 50 or so quilt mags I have stored.

Re:A New Swap? by Mouse 2 Years, 3 Months ago Was just watching Simply Quilts on TV and they showed the episode with the quilted trading cards - what about something like that in christmas colors for people to hang on tree/wall as decorations??
