thanks Mona for the wonderful hello...
My you are busy "several businesses" is very time consuming I don't know how you would find time to do any quilting..
I love Siamese cats.. I grew up with them at home.. but right now I have 4 saved barn cats.. in a big city..
I also have one old Bouvier/sheppard. she is sweet sweet sweet...
I belong to 3 quilt guilds in our metropolis city.. one has 50 members/other 200 members/other 300 members..they are all fantastic for their part in my quilting life.
i work full time and part time and also teach at 3 different stores.. the stack and whack techniques such as Bethany Reynolds stack and whack/One Block wonder (avatar) and also the 4 Patch Posey..
I hope to meet many friends here have been trying to catch up on the reads and the bulletins .. also trying to figure out the board on posting editing and such..
Thanks for this wonderful Free board so that we can all share our quilting skills.

Deb, I LOVE your quilts! I will also have to look for the One Block Wonder book.
This forum application is AWESOME and we can do so many things such as personalize our profiles, send private messages, post photos, etc. Bad Boy Jon and I are working on an extensive "how to" list and will try to post it this week. I think I'm like everyone else and really only understand the basics.
Also, don't forget that we often add new stories to the home page. We're about to begin an email system to let all the Bad Girls know what's new each week. We're at over 700 registered members and LOTS of visitors from over 20 different countries. But we have one thing in common...we love quilting and our quilting friends.

Hi Mona.. you are right there is so much that can be done.. I have updated my profile and also added a couple "connections" already... this way it is easier for private messaging.. will there be an album set up for members to post pics? just curious.. I have been on other forums as you can tell.. some have this added function...
I am having lots of fun and there are lots of friendly persons on here.. to bad I missed the blocks swap maybe next time.. and there is talk of doing a row robin in the fall that I will host if we get enough members to join.. I have done this before and have had great success..

Ahhhh, Dresden! The heart of the Longaberger basket beginnings. faring well despite the economy. Remains quant and comfortable, still a tourist destination, but not as crowded in years past.

I also really like to free motion quilt. In the last 3 issues of the American Quilter magazine (AQS) were articles about free motion quilting by Shirley Stutz. She lives here in Ohio and is a fabulous free motion artist. I have taken her classes and she does some monster size quilts on an old Bernina. Fabulous details and she does all this with such grace and ease! practice, practice, practice...right after you remove the cat from the quilt sandwich
