mburtz (Admin) Admin Posts: 99 Karma: 7   Great Quilting Poem by mburtz 2 Years, 5 Months ago The Quilter I am not highly educated, I don't hold a PhD; I haven't painted a work of art For all the world to see. I've never traveled to far off lands Or ever written a book, And though I fed a family, I'm not a gourmet cook. I've never taken a beauty prize, (I never was well built), But I can do one thing "By George," I can make a quilt! I don't know much about decorating My house shows that, I fear; And I never came close to being Mother of the Year. I can't play a musical instrument Or design the clothes I wear; I don't have a voice like an opera star And I can't dance like Fred Astaire. Although I can do none of these things, I don't feel any guilt For I have talent you wouldn't believe - Heck! I can make a quilt!
